I'm glad that you found these thoughts to be helpful. You said it best when you referred to your camera as a tool, as they can encourage all of us to get out and more fully see and explore the beauty of our Gardens!

Photography is the place that I live when on vacation and even when in my garden. My eyes are our best tool to locate the best subject, the position from which to shoot and making a focal point strong. Love overcast days if the morning has past and I need to photograph a great picture. Just returned from New Hampshire where I shot the Kirkwood Garden in Holderness (where they shot ""On Golden Pond"). The best pictures were of filtered sunlight on a large lawn with garden beds along the edge. Overcast days were great for shoot along the waters edge with colorful houses that were reflected in the water. I photograph bugs, flowers, birds, frogs, squirrels and chipmunks. I would have a hard time if I had to decide if I had to choose photography or gardening for they are both part of ME. Thanks for the tips on our continued learning curve of photography. Master Gardener (2006).

Thanks for the hints -I didn't know that about sunlight. My camera is my newest garden tool since I started blogging, I appreciate all the help I can get.
I good photo makes learning about growing food that much more fun.
Thanks! ~GJ
